We searched our university catalogues and accessions register for the listed topics but found no results, and suggested Cathays Branch and Heritage Library's Marconi-related books and local newspapers as possible leads.
We confirmed we hold no Cardiff Post Office or General Post Office records in our collection and suggested Glamorgan Archives, as the local authority repository, is most likely to hold relevant material for Cardiff and Penarth.
“We do not hold any records from the Cardiff Post Office/General Post Office in our collection”
We checked the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire staff calendars for 1896/97, 1897/98 and 1898/99 and found no Engineering staff listed under the surname Williams.
“We did not find any Engineering staff with the surname Williams for 1896/97, 1897/98, or 1898/99”
